With origins dating back to the 17th century, the Glenelly Estates have passed through many hands before ending up in those of famed French winemaker, May de Lencquesaing. Inspired by the potential of the South African terroir, she purchased Glenelly Estate in 2003 with the hopes of continuing the centuries-long tradition of French winemaking in South Africa. The ‘Glass Collection’ is an homage to May’s passion for the art of glassmaking - the glass museum located at the winery is one of the largest privately owned collections in the world. Aged for 12 months in French oak, this is a rich and concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of, plum, green pepper, charcoal, and tobacco.
